∵∴∵Black stoneware vessels with neolithic iconographic decorations∵∴∵

These black stoneware vessels acted as a sort of study for me to explore a range of iconographic designs associated with Late Mesolithic and Early Neolithic artistic expression, often observed on rock art and ceramic technology across Northern Europe. Within this, one vessel incorporates a face of grief as direct inspiration to designs similarly observed on archaeological ceramic urns located at the Månehøj and Svinø passage graves in Denmark (3000 BCE).

The vessels were fired to 1240°C in an oxidative atmosphere and I used a reactive bronze metallic glaze.
