This open formed pot was made using a black stoneware and an ash glaze comprised of the ashes of various plants and trees. It is an unwashed ash glaze to allow for the alkalinity of ash to have a fluxing effect on the glaze. This piece was fired to 1260°C in an oxidative atmosphere.
